Agenda: This meeting will focus on the membership’s input regarding the newest proposal of the
Illinois Association of Administrators of Special Education (IAASE) to reduce school districts’
reimbursement for students placed in nonpublic schools. The proposal changes the
reimbursement from everything over 2 per capita to everything over 3 per capita. Members of
IAPSEC have been meeting with ISBE Superintendent Chris Koch, Special Education Director
Beth Hanselman, and ISBE Legal Counsel Darren Reisberg on this issue.
