Dear IAPSEC Member,
Welcome to IAPSEC! As the President of IAPSEC, it is my pleasure to welcome you as a valued member of our Association.
It has been my privilege to work with educators like you throughout our state who are so dedicated and committed to serving the needs of our most vulnerable students in the state of Illinois. Our mission, to ensure that a high standard of special education, care, and treatment is available in private special educations centers to all categories of children who are the most vulnerable and have the most severe disabilities in the State of Illinois, is one in which I am deeply proud and thrilled to be able to share with you.
What we do matters, and what we must do next is what matters most.
Each month, our membership meets at one of our schools to network and learn from the local experts in the field of the latest best practices for students with disabilities. Additionally at the meetings, our legislative consultants and ISBE representatives keep us up to date on all of the happenings in our state. It’s a time of change and a time of action that does require the strength of an Association to come together for the good of all we must do. I am confident that you will find our monthly meetings to be informative and inspiring.
But the work of our Association goes far beyond the monthly meetings. It’s through the extensive committee work and ongoing efforts that each member brings to the Association that makes the type of difference we know is critical for our success. IAPSEC also offers leadership support to you and has veteran members willing to mentor, network, and assist you with any organizational questions you may have. Our Association is a wealth of knowledge. The possibilities are endless.
I invite you to become as active as possible, and encourage you to seek out the resources that are available to ensure that you and your organization can be the strongest it can be.
